I agreed with this thought at the time, but have trouble in light of
the following:
Florida RG Jon Halapio has compound fracture in hand
by Jason Lieser
Halapio started the first two games of the year and Saturday’s
game. Florida demoted Xavier Nixon from left tackle to right tackle
to the bench, moved RG Maurice Hurt to right tackle and inserted
Halapio in Hurt’s place this week.
If Nixon is so bad that he is being pulled for a true Freshman, than
this was never about putting the best 5 linemen on the field.
