It shows he is not wanting to change the run first philosophy. They want to run first, but we are not a running team. We do not have a solid, reliable back. We don't have an Ingram, a Richardson, a Ridley, or a Ballard. The only big back we have was on the bench the whole night...

If we are working on that so much, why are we so bad at it? Where is the problem? The coaching? Are they not getting through to the players? Are the players incapable of doing what they are being asked? So many problems with this team... so hard to pinpoint a single one. But I still maintain our lack of adjustment to our personnel is a key reason. Why can't Demps play the Harvin position? Is he really our best all around running back? I don't think so. He is a home run threat. He is the best at getting outside. But Gilleslee may be the best between the tackles runner. It could be Mack, but for some reason he never gets to play. I think we could certainly use him, so unless he is in the doghouse for something. How hard is it to line him up and tell him to run hard behind the guard, smack a linebacker in the nose, and fall forward? That would soften up the defense... that would make that LB stay at home which would open up so many OPTIONS for the spread option to work, even with a passing quarteback. We are trying to be a spread option team with a passing quarterback. That CAN work. But you actually have to make passing the priority and then run to keep them honest. We don't do that. We attempted that against Kentucky and had success! The offense clicked and worked. It was scripted and expected. But as soon as that script was up, we digressed back to the usual, mundane, ineffective run first attitude. Everyone step back and look at this team. Look at the recruits that have come in. Look at the athleticism. Look at the speed we should be displaying... Are we a running team?
