Two of the quotes below bothered me.

The one from Cam reeked of entitlement - not that the claims were true or false, but "I don't have to answer that question, I am Cam the mighty Heisman hopeful." Well, one thing that got him into the Heisman race was his father's claims that he left Florida because he didn't want to sit a year behind Tebow.

If his father's claims are false (and I am certain that they are) a question about those claims would be both timely and relevant.

Then, the father - instead of denying the truth of the accusation - goes into patented deflection mode; "Who is going to profit."

Gag me with a spoon.

Gee, could Jim Litke be a Miami fan? This guy really hates the SEC. Could he have put a darker spin on what are currently no more than allegations? I bet he couldn’t get in UF when he applied and has always held a grudge.

"I'm not going to entertain something that took place not three months, not six months, not a year but two years ago," he said Tuesday, when asked about the cheating allegations. "I'm not going to sit up here and say anything about it, whether I did or did not do it, because I don't want to beat a dead horse talking about it."

"This is a character assassination attempt," Cecil Newton said earlier Tuesday on a radio show. "Who is going to profit and why are they are going to profit? We sure don't."
