The very first time Meyer and Spurrier faced off,the Gamecocks RAN the ball down our throats instead of the trick plays and wide open offense Spurrier was known for.Guess what??This past Saturday,Spurrier DID IT AGAIN!At one time the Gators were one of the most difficult defenses to run on.....now,unless you are behind a walker(even that's no hindrance),you are certain to gain big yardage!Poor tackling, bad angles in pursuit, lack of staying "home" have made us look like a swinging gate! The defensive staff hasn't made adjustments either! It was said that SC didn't 'care' about Arkansas--they were focused on BIGGER game!Guess the Gators decided to be like SC in the Arky game! The MAJOR problem has been LEADERSHIP.From the staff on down, there has not been ANYONE take the reigns and lead the team.Coaches can lead in practice and to some degree during the game, but there MUST be a player or players step up and say:"LET'S DO THIS!"The Gators have no one.Maybe they are still suffering from Tebow/Spikes hangover?? The play calling was ABYSMAL!When you spread Brantley out as a receiver and NEVER throw to him, teams catch on!When you bring Burton in and ALL he does is run the ball,TEAMS CATCH ON!The ANNOUNCERS caught on to this,so why didn't the staff in the booth??You can be too "cute" for your own good---rotating your QBs gets you nowhere when you run the same play from the same formations.Meyer has shown zero confidence in ANY of the running backs.Of course, when your O-line can't stop a breeze.....During the game,he certainly didn't show much in the way of urgency or trying to change what the Gators were trying to do as the game plan crumbled on the field.Meyer's 'pilot light' certainly wasn't lit!SC was certainly the BETTER team Saturday, but the Gators SHOULD have been.
