What the heck happened?
We outmanned UCF so badly that it would go 10 minutes at a time
without scoring a field goal, and they were so undersized that
Macklin could not miss - 10 of 11 from the field.
One particularly telling play was when UCF's shot clock wore down and
its unrecruited 5' 9" point guard tried to launch a jumper over
Murphy, who calmly blocked it right back, triggering a UCF shot clock
violation. That's how much better our players were, Murphy didn't
need to reject it with authority, he almost felt sorry for the guard
(who didn't score all game, IIRC).
Yet, we found a way to lose?
Did any players come over from the football team now that the season
is over? That would explain a lot.
I guess we miss Tyus and Parsons more than we thought. Too bad they
went pro early.
