Gosh, bringing in Mullen to follow Meyer strikes me as the parallel
of bringing in Zook to follow Spurrier.
Familiarity with program, system, players, etc.
I'd rather strike a new path.

Exactly. He may not be the favorite hire, but he brings the best

Could he, would he, become the next great Gator coach? Sure, he
has the ability. He has the mind for it... and honestly, he would
bring a D coach with a pretty solid rep.
Again, not my fave, but I would be happy for the health of the
program NOW.

That wouldn’t be bad to get Mullen back. He would continue the
same system with a fresh perspective that Meyer seems to have lost.
He’ll walk in to a lot of talent here he doesn’t have at MSU and
show improvement quickly.
