I don't think Adazzio played a role at all.  He has been a trooper for the
football program and the university and did his best with all the roles he was
asked to do.

What I mean is that a university has a unique culture that is very collegial in
nature.  It arises from the mission that the name college comes from: we are
gathered in one place to discuss things, agree and disagree, share knowledge
and
learn together.  Teamwork is at emphasized and power is shared.  Administrators
at UF make decisions without review of faculty leaders at their peril.  None
could survive for long with a united faculty against them.  Nor is real
progress
made without faculty support.

Universities also work hard to involve alumni and other supporters because they
need our money.  Old men and women fund youngster's games.  What the old men
and
women think and feel is important.

I believe that all concerned, including Meyer, had a multi-level discussion and
arrived at the present place through a friendly discussive process.

Forget motives or agendas as reasons.  Everyone has them and there are many,
some unconscious.  This decision seems to me to have been arrived at through a
calm deliberative process that serves everyone's benefit.

Do you think this had more to do with Adazzio or were the boosters fed up with
other things? Please explain more for those of us that ate out of town (out of
the loop).

Machin is also very involved.  He, more than anyone, brought Urban Meyer
to UF.
Foley has always worked closely with the President.  What's said in the
President's box in the stadium counts more than what's said anywhere else.  I
think it was a collegial decision.
