Look... I understand.. and mostly agree he's a great OC. If this is
true I will also agree that Must-Chomp is more of a genius than we
thought (although it raises major questions as to why Weiss would
want a perceived step back to the same position in the NCAA). And
maybe a big part of this is.. I personally have a problem forgiving
people. I hold grudges. ANd I am sorry that I refuse to forgive
him for his "what has Florida done" comment. Yes... I know he was
complaining about the poll system... but he called out Florida
SPECIFICALLY. If you have a problem with the polls fine.. say so..
you dont insult the University of Florida and then get rewarded to
run their offense. Sorry thats just how I feel.
Also... Weiss was mostly very successful because he had a Belichick
defense which OFTEN set up the Offense in very good situations. Is
that taking away from his success no... but you have to consider
every factor involved.
Look.. Im not gonna go all Auburn fan on him and heckle him and all
that... Ill give him time to see what he does... Ill still go to the
games and cheer the boys on. Ill always wear my orange and blue
(and soon very permanently)

I didn't like Weiss' arrogant and abrasive personality when he was
HC at ND, but maybe he's added some humble pie to his diet <insert
joke here>.
That being said, he's a proven OC at both collegiate and pro
levels, and Coach Muschamp would do well to have someone with that
kind of experience running things on that side of the ball.
His proven success in the league would likely be very attractive to
recruits as well.
Initial reaction - akin to Woody's. After reflection - could end up
being a home run.

My initial reaction is the same of yours but my husband was pretty
unruffled when I told him. He thinks it's actually a pretty safe
hire, not exciting but he was/is a good OC and certainly knows how
to implement a pro-style offense.
