I'd be interested in seeing the number of carries Gillislee has had vs Emmitt Smith and Errict Rhett when comparing their ypc.
Emmitt's 5.9 ypc is truly amazing considering he was basically the entire offense...and teams still couldn't stop him consistently. I know I fell for this, but it's sort of like being excited watching John Brantley in mop up time throwing darts all over the field then watching him this year, it was night and day... Let's look at notable Freshmen: James Jones: 4.4 Neal Anderson: 5.2 Emmitt Smith: 5.9 Errict Rhett: 5.7 Interestingly, those were the best single year averages for either Errict or Emmitt. Gillislee yards per carry: 5.6 Hmm. My gut doesn't even think he is in the same sentence as the Gator legends.
