Aw, Bert... such sweet words for the love of your life. I am sorry to hear
of your loss and send my heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. I'm
glad you have a strong support system to help when you need them.

Greetings, all...
Thank you very much for your kind words and well wishes. It's
definitely been rough, but we all have an outstanding support system
of friends and family, such as y'all. We'll keep plugging along and
establish our new normal.
Basically, she fell Monday while at home and she thought it was
because she was low in blood sugar since she wasn't feeling well the
night before and didn't have anything to eat. I came home from work to
help her up and when she got up on all fours then tried to lift up
onto the bed, she collapsed. She wasn't breathing then and never
recovered. :( She was 54 years old. Shoot, I'm 43 and had more gray
than her. What does that say about the marriage? :)
The visitation and funeral were beautiful. Seating and standing room
accounted for 150 and they had to turn folks away. My younger son
counted 380 signatures in the guestbook for the visitation and
service. What an incredible testament to who she was. She worked for
the school district here in Springdale in their transportation
department and took care of the bus drivers there, especially by
fixing biscuits and gravy for 150 once a month. The drivers were a
wonderful portion of the people there to celebrate her life during the
funeral, and the procession to the cemetery even had a school bus
follow it, its reds running the whole way. How. Cool. Is. That? :)
