So, I guess he's not a gangsta after all. Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

The explanation – he didn’t do it. The college football blog Every Day Should Be Saturday posted the tweets last week. Most of them were posted before his junior season at Florida, and not after he decided to leave early to declare for the NFL draft. (Not going to link to them here. They are quite vulgar and not suitable for work, if you are so inclined to search for them.) “The Twitter thing just came up to me,” Hill said. “I haven’t been on my Twitter for the past five or six months, and people were texting me, calling me. I called my people immediately to see what’s going on with this stuff. I deleted it, I deleted everything off from it. But this blogger, or whoever this guy is, he like copied and paste some things that I never even wrote. “Somehow my thing has been hacked.” Reaction among Gators fans has varied, but “good riddance” seems to be a common theme. “That was really hard for me because I would never want to disrespect the Gator Nation or coach (Will) Muschamp or coach Urban Meyer,” Hill said. “For the Gator Nation to read these things and think of me as a bad person, that hurt me.” Hill’s Twitter account has since been deleted. He’s training in Boca Raton, and things like that definitely will not raise his draft stock. After a disappointing junior year, during which coaches criticized his inconsistency, Hill already faced an uphill battle to move up. Although it’s unlikely NFL scouts wouldn’t have found the offensive tweets on their own, being mocked on sports blogs prompted Hill to respond. Hill covered some other topics on the show: *– He says he left early for family. *“I have three beautiful sons and a wife, and I’m thinking to myself I have to somehow provide for them,” he said. “I thought it was best for me to leave the school and try to go to the NFL.” *– He thinks he’ll be drafted between the second and fourth round but knows his play this season might hold him back. *“I couldn’t perform to the best of my ability that I wanted to this year,” he said. “I know I felt as though I let people down.” *– His suspension was academic.* Hill did not play in the first two games of the year, and Meyer never discussed why. “I was just, had some academic things that wasn’t taken care of,” Hill said. “Urban, he really preaches that. I couldn’t blame him for not playing me because I wasn’t doing what I was supposed to do off the field.” *– Not starting the Outback Bowl was also because of academics. *“I had a 6000 word paper that was due, and I never did that before in my life and that was like 27 pages,” he said. “It was just a hard thing to do. … It just took me a little longer. I got it done, and I ended up getting an A on the paper.” -- GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions 2008 National Football Champions | Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us -- GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions 2008 National Football Champions | Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us
