Marcus Roberson signs with UF
By Edward Aschoff Staff writer Published: Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 9:21 a.m. Last Modified: Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 9:21 a.m. Florida grabbed its first good news of the morning just before 9 a.m. After decommitting from Auburn Tuesday, Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas cornerback Marcus Roberson called new Florida coach Will Muschamp this morning to tell him he would be signing with the Gators, a source close to the situation told The Gainesville Sun. A few minutes after nine, Roberson made it official when he faxed his Letter of Intent to Florida's football office. Roberson originally committed to Texas Tech, where his uncle Otis Mounds is the cornerbacks coach, earlier this month and then decommitted, switching to Auburn on Monday. Roberson will have a signing ceremony this afternoon at St. Thomas Aquinas.
