Uh...I can't remember the costs.  I was paid by two universities, a Jax civic
club, and two foundations to go to Jacksonville University and the University
of
Florida.

And...I can cook grits, too.

p.s.  Don't go to Mexico.  No grits.

Leon and I both grew up in Jacksonville.  I went to Lee and if my memory serves
me correctly, Leon went to Jackson.

My first introduction to Georgia Ice Cream was my freshman year at Emory.
(Thankfully, I could not afford to stay there and transferred to Gator
Country.
I had this dumb idea that I was going to pay for my own education.  I went to
Florida for the next three years what it cost me for one year at Emory.)

That remind me.  Tuition at Florida was $95 per quarter back then.  Leon
probably paid less than that.

I'm with you, Cees. You must be from Jacksonville too! Are Jacksonvillians the
only people who know how to eat? :-)

Oh, Jerry... I'm not quibbling with the red eye gravy!  I've been eating that
my
whole life and love it.  My maternal ancestors were Virginia/NC Appalachians
before some of them migrated down to the big city in Georgia.

It's the sugar/honey/syrup with grits that I can't like.  I've accidentally
tasted grits with honey or sorghum syrup that sneaked over from my biscuits.
Like I said... no.  Just.  No.  ;-)

Eat it and enjoy it if you must, but I'll stick to butter, salt and pepper on
my
grits.  Call me a purist.
