Yes, contrary to football the AP poll is practically meaningless in basketball.
But, I still find it somewhat gratifying to know the Gators are ranked ahead of most of our enemies. I've been seeing 3rd or 4th seed too. That's something else that's pretty important to Gator fans, winning the SEC tournament. Especially since it's been during Billy's tenure we won our first one. Haven't seen coaches poll yet. At this point, I'm sarting to believe that the only "poll" that matters for NCAA seeding is RPI. Right now we are #10, with a strength of schedule of #6. In short, lose in our conference tourney and be a #3-4 seed; win the tourney and be a #2 seed. -Zeb -- GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions 2008 National Football Champions | Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us -- GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions 2008 National Football Champions | Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us
