This old post by Mary is worth re-reading in light of the current 'locked
practices' and brings to mind former Buccaneer's coach John McKay's famous quip
during a post-game meeting with reporters.  When asked to comment on the
execution of the offense he replied, "I'd be in favor of it."

Even this one, asked after they had lost their first 26 games as a franchise:
“It bothers me that they (the national media) have picked us to be the worst
team in football. Because what they are doing now is challenging your physical
and your mental capacity and my ability to coach you. Now, this hurts me.
Second-worst team, I could stand it. But not the worst team.”

Of course, how could I dismiss this John McKayism:

"We didn't tackle well today but we made up for it by not blocking."

The reason the Coaches have closed practice this year is because we have an
offense that is very offensive.
