Friends and Family:

Let me assure you that I am NOT sending you email recommending various
products that will enhance your vacations, education or sex life. It appears
someone has hacked the Comcast mail servers, retrieved old emails, and
harvested the addresses contained in those emails. The reason I am sure they
didn't hack MY computer is because all of the SPAM email is allegedly coming
from my old Comcast address, which was cancelled over a year ago. As far as
I know, no one has received SPAM from my current email address.

My apologies for any inconvenience, but please be assured it is NOT coming
from me. I recommend checking your address book and if the
[email protected] address is still there, delete it. That's the
first place your SPAM filter will look before accepting a suspicious email.
If the address is NOT in your address book, those emails will be treated as
SPAM and moved to the appropriate folder.

I have reported this to Comcast, but I doubt if I'll get a reply, since I'm
no longer a customer.

Randy
