I got this from another article:
Smith wasn't sure what degree Wenger would pursue. Since he has
already graduated, Wenger would have to enroll in a graduate program
Notre Dame doesn't offer.
It's unclear whether Wenger has applied or been accepted at Florida.
He would also need a waiver from the NCAA to be eligible to play
football at Florida.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Florida took the field for the spring game with
six healthy offensive linemen, but the Gators are back to full
strength heading into training camp. In fact, they added one more
lineman.
Coach Will Muschamp confirmed the transfer of Dan Wenger, a former
Notre Dame center who left the school after missing the 2010 season
because he suffered two concussions early in the year. The Fighting
Irish’s medical staff didn’t clear Wenger to return, but Muschamp
said the UF staff has cleared the 6-foot-4, 298-pound center.
Wenger played for UF offensive coordinator Charlie Weis when Weis
was head coach at Notre Dame, and he also played for offensive line
coach Frank Verducci for one year.
“Yeah, he’s working out with our football team and has been a guy
that was in Charlie’s system there at Notre Dame and played for
George (Smith) down at St. Thomas (Aquinas) and a guy that brings
some toughness, wants to be a coach, wants to be a strength coach,”
Muschamp said at SEC Media Days on Wednesday.
“He’s a hard-nosed tough kid. … To have him for a year is a bonus
for us.”
