By Edward Aschoff
The first week of games is over and it's already time for some key SEC
matchups. Georgia is looking to rebound at home against South Carolina,
while Auburn hosts Mississippi State. Should be a fun second week in the
SEC:

*SATURDAY*

   - *Central Michigan (1-0) at Kentucky (1-0), 12 p.m. ET, ESPNU*

Kentucky's offense struggled mightily last week against Western Kentucky,
but the defense was solid. Things can't get much worse for the Wildcats on
the offensive side of the ball, so expect much-needed improvement.

   - *Mississippi State (1-0) at Auburn (1-0), 11:21 a.m. CT, SEC Network /
   ESPN3.com*

The Bulldogs' offense put up nearly 60 points last week and had 645 total
offensive yards. And Auburn? Well, the Tigers narrowly escaped getting upset
by Utah State at home and allowed 448 offensive yards, including 227 on the
ground.

   - *Alabama (1-0) at Penn State (1-0), 3:30 p.m. ET, ABC / ESPN3.com*

In a battle of historical college football powers, we'll see the continuing
quarterback battle between Alabama's AJ
McCarron<http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=480215>and
Phillip
Sims <http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=501522>. The
Tide's high-flying defense that allowed just 90 yards of offense gets its
first test of the season inside Beaver Stadium.

   - *Cincinnati (1-0) at Tennessee (1-0), 3:30 p.m. ET, ESPN2 / ESPN3.com*

Tennessee showed that it can certainly score points in Week 1, but the
defense will need to come to play this weekend. Cincinnati scored a
nation-high 72 points last week and racked up 561 offensive yards.

   - *South Carolina (1-0) at Georgia (0-1), 4:30 p.m. ET, ESPN / ESPN3.com*

This is a chance for Georgia to really rebound after an opening loss to
Boise State. Starting off 0-2 will ignite coach Mark Richt's seat in Athens.
For South Carolina, the defense was far from great last week and coach Steve
Spurrier was pretty upset with the passing game.

   - *Southern Illinois (1-0) at Ole Miss (0-1), 6 p.m. ET, Ole Miss,
   ESPN3.com*

Another season, another home-opening loss for Ole Miss. The Rebels seemed to
have a win against BYU in hand before a total collapse in the fourth
quarter. Zack
Stoudt<http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=382073>gets
the start at quarterback, but won't have running back Brandon
Bolden <http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=382707>, who
is out a couple of weeks with a slight ankle fracture.

   - ***New Mexico (0-1) at Arkansas (1-0), 7 p.m. ET, ESPNU*

Arkansas' offense showed last week that it's still deadly even without No. 1
running back Knile
Davis<http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=482676>.
We should see starter Tyler
Wilson<http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/player/profile?playerId=382642>take
another step in his maturation process against New Mexico.

   - *UAB (0-0) at Florida (1-0), ESPN3.com, Fox Sports Network*

Florida's defense was more aggressive and flew to the ball all night in a
blowout win over Florida Atlantic, but more importantly, the offense
actually clicked and put up nearly 500 yards. Maybe the Gators will run more
than six different offensive plays this week.

   - *Northwestern State (1-0) at LSU (1-0), 8 p.m. ET, LSU, ESPN3.com*

LSU will still be riding high after a huge win over Oregon in Week 1. The
passing game wasn't much to look at, but it was efficient. Outside of a win,
the Tigers' goal should be to get triple-digit passing numbers this time
around.

   - *Connecticut (1-0) at Vanderbilt (1-0), 7:30 p.m. ET, CSS /ESPN3.com*

The James Franklin era at Vanderbilt got off to a great start with a blowout
win in his first game. This will be a big test for the Commodores and a win
should have people talking up Vandy for the first time in a while.
