With all the deaths surrounding tasers, I'm flabbergasted that they are reached for in what appears to be a low level threat. I think the policies need reshaping. Someone please tell me why I am wrong. I know law enforcement has its dangers, but this seems a bit over the top.

I won't defend him not taking care of his traffic violations, but come on - I hear about this kind of stuff far too often, and not just with UF athletes. I suspect he will plead no contest to some reduced charges, but yeah, he's gonna miss some games. I'm so glad he's not a starter. Not even brushing away; Finley was pulled over at 1:50 p.m. by Officer William Sasser after driving around a barricade at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. According to the arrest report, Finley initially refused to give his license and registration and told Sasser he was late. As Finley tried to leave, Sasser told him he was under arrest and grabbed Finley's wrist. Finley pulled his wrist away and "stood up and squared to me while straddling the scooter," Sasser wrote in the report. After Sasser removed his Taser, Finley complied. If that is resisting arrest with violence, well then. It also disturbing that resisting arrest without violence is now a tasering offense. -Zeb -- GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions 2008 National Football Champions | Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us -- GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions 2008 National Football Champions | Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us
