I fail to see where I was optimistic... enduring another two years of this until this staff gets their people is hardly an optimistic proposition. Maybe I was unclear....

I can tell you this: if Urban et al, can win with Leak and a pro style offensive player configuration, then Muschamp et al must make a similar consideration for what they are trying to do. Weiss is a great offensive mind with pro style players. We were more suited for Glanville's fun and gun... I merely hope we give them time to get their players to runtheir system and don't quit and give up like previous management. Yes, I fault UM for a lot of our current issues. The current staff seems to be doing better to adapt than they did early on. They have realized these players don't fit, hence the pistol backfield. I optimistically think we can beat FSU. Connor shaw killed us running. Manuel will present that threat but will prefer to throw. I say we force all our DBs to drink milk every meal for the next two weeks and hope they grow 2 inches each.....

It won't be up to me and I don't consider myself a "hater" but I have seen little to be encouraged about. I'm happy you're optimistic but I think if this type of performance is repeated next year Will Muschamp will be looking for employment.

I think that is grossly unfair to the new staff. Urban spent a few years building his idea of a team centered around pure speed. The talking heads have said countless times we are the fastest team in Amercia. Unfortunately, it also makes us one of the smallest AND weakest.

Our offensive line was offensive. Couldn't block USC's D line. Was an abomination. With scatbacks, we need big holes. We didn't have them. The big games were a result of amazing vision and cutbacks of Rainey. We could barely pass block. Brantley is made for this offense, maybe our receivers are not, but I bet with time, even an average amount of time, he could fine a developing pattern downfield. We don't have time to develop an idea of downfield passing.

Our receivers are small, our DBs are small, even Matt Elam plays a LOT bigger than he is... but we need a combo of size, speed, and strength to play SEC FOOTBALL...

Think of this... Urban won championships with size, strenght, and speed of someone else's recruits in 2006 and 2008. Once he got his own recruits, we have not faired well and neither has Muschamp.

The new regime needs player s
