The guy was born in Pakistan, came to the USA in the early 70s to study Engineering at the Univ. of Illinois, he still lives in Champagne and is a BIG BOOSTER to the school. Frank Frangie reported yesterday that ex-Illi coach Ron Zook knows the guy and says he's a great down to earth person. We'll see.
Started working at a garage called Flex-N-Gate, after graduation he kept working there, the garage made auto parts. Using his own money, he bought the garage and began the process of becoming a self-made Billionaire. The company has over 10,000 employees and has factories all over the world. Supposedly his company is the sole supplier of bumpers to Toyota. They also supply parts to Ford, GM, and just about every other car manufacturer. He's buying 100% of the Jaguars and is paying CASH..the reported deal is worth 760 MILLION..not bad for a guy who immigrated here with nothing..He's a US citizen now. Wayne Weaver said yesterday at the new conference that he was buying a home in Jacksonville, I would like to be that Real Estate Agent, I doubt he will be buying a doublewide on the westside of town.
