I understand your concerns, Woody, but there were people who said even if he was a great Gator, "that HC from a weakling ACC school" would never make it in the SEC. And yes, I mean SOS.
I dunno, my gut says this is a good hire. My gut was always pretty uneasy about Weis. But really, what does my gut know? I'm just a fan in front of a computer. :-) On the other hand, as others have mentioned here, Gator Nation REALLY needs someone to rally around right now. Kerwin Bell is that guy. And hell, he's PLAYED in the SEC and was a grad assistant under Spurrier, so that's got to count for something.
