No, no we definitely played in this event back in the day. The event program still lists Walsh as the leading scorer with 33 points in a game; Jonathan Mitchell is also in its record book for points and David Lee for rebounds.
The event was fun, as usual. The random person from the stands made the half court shot for $25,000 at halftime. During one timeout, two children were challenged to put on oversize basketball shoes, run the length of the court (donning a jersey at midcourt) and then make a layup. The 8-year boy that won "Tebowed" under the basket following his victory.
