This is getting close to venturing into "Too Hot" territory.  Most of us
Gators, and a lot of others, even those who may not share his belief system,
admire him for his willingness to stand up for what he believes in, and for
"walking the walk".

There may be a portion of the crowd that doesn't like him because they don't
share those same beliefs, a portion of them that think that people in the
spotlight for athletic (or entertainment, etc.) accomplishments should not use
that fame as a bully pulpit to highlight other facets of their life (actors and
politics anyone?), and there are still a number of folks that will always hate
him because he is/was a Gator.

Let's not turn the Tim discussion into a religious one, OK?

I think it’s more the “anti-Christian” attitude that is sweeping the nation,
and Tebow refuses to behave himself and go into the “closet”. A lot of people
think his spiritual displays (i.e. Tebowing) is just for show, but after I tell
them he has been this way his whole life, they just kinda get sheepish about
it. He’s quite a bit more “public” about his relationship with Christ that I
am, but I admire his stand. Unfortunately, it’s like a battleground – the ones
on the frontline are the ones being shot at. L
