Ken, Would It be an NCAA violation to charge differential fees according to the ability to pay? Would providing required pro-bono work exclude pro-bono for athletes?

It would be no different than a car dealer giving a free car because they know they will get free publicity. Helen, thanks for the article. The NCAA probably can't prove anything as they can't make Huntley turn over any records. I just hope it is all on the up and up and I'm sure our compliance folks wouldn't let him near the kids if they thought there was a problem. I don't think that is a violation of NCAA rules. How is it that all these players magically go to one guy? And how is it these players, many from very poor families can afford an attorney like Huntley? Not trying to imply anything, but doesn't this appear suspicious to anyone else? How does it work, is there a pre-paid student legal service, I have one of those through my employer. Huntley can not offer his services pro-bono as that would be an NCAA violation. My feeble inquiring mind wants to know. During the court appearance, Leonard was released on his own recognizance by Alachua County Judge Tom Jaworski. The judge also told Leonard and his attorney, Huntley Johnson, that Leonard was to have no contact with the woman and that he must maintain a separate residence until the charge is resolved. -- GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions 2008 National Football Champions | Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us<http://www.gatornet.us> -- GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions 2008 National Football Champions | Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us<http://www.gatornet.us> -- GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions 2008 National Football Champions | Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us<http://www.gatornet.us> -- GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions 2008 National Football Champions | Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us<http://www.gatornet.us> -- GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions 2008 National Football Champions | Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us<http://www.gatornet.us> -- GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions 2008 National Football Champions | Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us<http://www.gatornet.us> -- GATORS: ONE VOICE ON SATURDAY - NO VOICE ON SUNDAY! 1996 National Football Champions | 2006 National Basketball Champions 2006 National Football Champions | 2007 National Basketball Champions 2008 National Football Champions | Three Heisman Trophy winners: Steve Spurrier (1966), Danny Wuerffel (1996), Tim Tebow (2007) - Visit our website at www.gatornet.us
