The biggest point to suggest Shane Mathews is correct is players drafted into
the NFL....Although not an exact science, generally the best teams in college
football have the most players drafted in the NFL...last year Bama and LSU had
multiple high draft picks...you may not know that Boise State had multiple high
draft picks as well....NFL teams after first couple of rounds draft as much on
potential as anything, if you big, run fast and have played a school like UF in
the SEC you will get drafted...regardless of our record. that isn't
happening....

I don't agree with the talent evaluation comments. I think Meyer was and is
very good at talent evaluation. I do agree with the discipline issues and
obviously we didn't coach the talent very well in those last two seasons of
Urban. He didn't have the staff and didn't have the personal commitment to the
program. Obviously we've had issues at receiver. There are some busts but,
across the board we've got and had a lot of talent. Best coaching staff is yet
to be seen. When I see that we can make some good in-game adjustments to find
a
win, I may jump on that Bandwagon as I do like the Muschamp staff. But, hard
to
beat Urban, Mullen, Strong, and Mattison and/or McCarney. Those two coaching
staffs (with Mattison in 06 and McCarney in 08) were pretty good. A bunch of
head coaches there and one really good defensive coordinator who made Michigan
defense look like night and day last year compared to their Rich Rod
experiment.
