At the beginning of the year, I negotiated a deal with my wife. Gator
season football tickets, or, a new giant-screen, High-Def TV, AND, DirecTV
with ESPN GamePlan. We got a big screen (our first, and definitely not a
giant screen), but it was on sale. And DirecTV says they can't aim a dish
correctly from this condo we're renting, so... So, we've compromised.
We're going to Mizzou and one of the directional school games, AND, AND,...
...I GET TO GO TO MY FIRST @VANDY GAME!!! And Oliver has even agreed to
ride bikes (the real kind, not the lazy-boy kind) with me on Sunday in case
I need to sweat out any remaining alcohol. I hope to meet some other
GatorTalkers before the game, and maybe if I'm lucky, even scalp a ticket
not too far away in the stands. Any advice I need to know? Where (& when)
to meet? Best way to get a ticket? StubHub, GatorZone, ticket window,
scalper? Parking? Open container laws? Quaint Vandy traditions? Etc...?
It's also Vandy's "parents weekend", so maybe the stands will be close to
full. I'd love to have 'em start loud, then go to quiet, then go to
leaving before the final seconds tick off.
Since it's Nashville on the itinerary, I'm even thinking about (93.2%
decided) to watch Pouncey, Gilbert, Starks, & Rainey visit the Titans on
NFL Thursday nite, too. Any other Gators up for that?
