That makes perfect sense, Charlie. But, since there is no king of baseball, who decides what the standards are? Just another result of pluralistic democracy from which we gain our competitive edge as a society through experimental creativity. Who would you have attend the conference to develop the standards? From what source would such a conference gain legitimacy for universal acceptance?
