I think it probably affected them equally. If you were UM or some other coastal school that has a strong seabreeze---read WIND, you would have an advantage. At UF there were no wind screens that I remember. In south Florida they were the norm and, even with them, the ball would drift a couple of feet during the service toss. You had to learn to hit the ball on the way up or right at the peak while serving or you would get all messed up!
