Patriots Agree To Sign Tim Tebow [X] Mon Jun 10 17:24:00 2013 EDT
(RTTNews) - The New England Patriots have done what most teams would consider at this point unthinkable. The organization has agreed to sign quarterback Tim Tebow to a contract on Monday. Tebow, who was released by the New York Jets earlier this off-season, is expected to take part in minicamp on Tuesday, according to ESPN. There has been talk about the two sides being a good fit with each other. The main reasoning being former Florida coach Urban Meyer and Patriots coach Bill Belichick being friends. Even with the previous links, the news comes as a major surprise. There has been talk from various media sources including Tebow's camp that his career in the NFL could be over. There is no sign on whether or not Tebow will play the quarterback position on the depth chart. The only logical competition would be for the No. 2 quarterback job with Ryan Mallet.
