It is a lot more common in N.C. than Florida; Zebulon Vance was a famed Civil War general from N.C. There is even a town, Zebulon, NC located just off of I-95. Originally, Zebulon was the name of one of Jacob's sons in Genesis, and - hence - one of the twelve tribes of Israel. The name must not have caught on as much as Benjamin or Joseph. The Pike of Pike's Peak fame was named Zebulon, as was his father.
