Tough weekend for the Gators last Saturday. We had a big pile up at the top in Pick 'em.
First place at 9-3 went to a whole bunch of people. Many of them were loyal Gator fans who sacrificed themselves and Did The Right Thing by picking the Gators. Quite a few of them, however, Did The Wrong Thing and in what can only be described as a desperate effort to claim the top Pick 'em prize of absolutely NOTHING, picked the victorious Miami Hurricanes. Kudos to these 9-3 people: Carlos Martinez, Drake Hamilton, Joe Birkner, Mike Clark, Phil Patterson, Reid Matheny, and Stephen Greep. Bronx cheers to these 9-3 people: Bill Perpich, David Shannon, John Dunham, Michael Simpson, Sarah Till, and W.F. Cuthbert. I'm only joshing, y'all, seriously... Lots of people went 8-4, and I am sure the gods of pick 'em know who was a good little Gator boy/girl, and who picked Miami. For the year, we have Chris Fraser and Phil Patterson at 18-6, and a bunch of peeps at 17-7. No Pick 'em this week as the Gators have an open date. We'll see you next week!
