OK, I'm just not sure why he should be treated differently than any other
true freshman with players ahead of him. Will may have intended to get him
in there but Jones finally looked back to 100% and decided not to mess with
what was working. I just don't understand the micro-management off every
little thing the coaches are doing, especially when, IMO, the offense looked
the best of any Gator O since Tim graduated.

My concern is that the coach said he wanted to give him more playing time
and didn't. It has nothing to do with how well the other backs ran. My
disappointment was that KT was not rewarded for his improvement. Young kids
are touchy and I would not like him to give up and want to transfer.

That was the reason for my post.

Will has also said that he will ride the RB that is hot - Matt came out and
had some nice early runs and appears to be back in pre-illness form, so I
think it has more to do with that than anything Kelvin is doing wrong. I
hope Kelvin is making progress but I don't think he is there yet and at this
point in the season I don't see any point in burning his redshirt. Kelvin
played at a small HS where he was the star and didn't have to learn how to
block until he got to UF. Matt Jones came out of a HS used to winning
championships and so he was a lot further along in picking up his blocking
assignments and I think that is why he has Will's confidence and they are
going to ride him this year as much as possible. It's all pretty good right
now, IMO, so I am confused why Gator fans never seem to be content with what
is working.

Part of what concerns me is that Coach Mush last week said he was going to
play him some and that he had made great progress picking up his blocking
assignments. Kevin said earlier that he was having some frustration about
not playing.

I know that he is a legacy and that his dad supports us. However, I think
if I was in his position and the coach had said what he did, I would want to
know what I had done to deserve to stay on the bench.

Not picking on you Jerry, but I don't get this - Kelvin is going to be
great, but he's a true freshman and he won't get any touches until he learns
to pick up the blitz. Matt Jones, a sophomore, had 176 yards rushing and
Mack Brown had a good game on more limited touches. Hopefully we get Valdez
back soon and they all appear more than capable. That's not enough? Why not
redshirt Taylor at this point? And I'm not worried about him becoming
disillusioned, he is at his dad's alma mater and I'm pretty sure he knows
his time will come. From what I've seen on twitter, Dad is telling him all
the right things, including enjoy college son!

I was disappointed that Kevin Taylor did not get any touches (that I
noticed) in Saturday's game. I hope that he does not get disillusioned by
not playing.
