Different sports require different methods of training and expertise.  A 
basketball player needs different training than a football player.  Trainers 
can become experts in a particular sport at an elite level.  They are not the 
trainers you find in your local gym.  
For example, an astronomer would not teach micro-biology.  Both are scientists, 
but their area of expertise are much different.
