Obviously the real law must have more clarity. The way the warning was written, you would have to break the law putting your open container in the trunk or glove box and you would break the law removing it. If you did not have a garage that you could drive into, especially if you had to park on the street in front of your home, it is not clear what you could do to transport the drink into the house.
