What exactly is the point of being 'suspended' in the summer if the only implication of a suspension is not appearing in actual games? That is hardly a disincentive to criminal behavior. This works out perfectly for Wilson, with the state attorney having plenty of time to reduce the charge to a misdemeanor before there are any consequences at all.
