The speedy Florida wide receiver has a chance to break the SEC record in this, his sixth season. He is currently tied with three other players with four kickoff returns for touchdowns. His first came in 2010, an 88-yard return against LSU. He had another that season, going 99 yards on the opening kickoff against South Carolina. His third technically came in 2011 in the Gator Bowl following the 2010 season when he raced 99 yards for a touchdown against Ohio State. He gave Florida a fighting chance late in the Sugar Bowl game against Louisville following the 2011 season when he returned one 100 yards for a score. Debose kickoff returns for touchdowns don’t guarantee wins for the Gators. They lost three of those games, with the only win coming against Ohio State. During his career, Debose has averaged 27.4 yards a kickoff return, which is the best average in UF history for a player with at least 50 returns. Solomon Patton has the best average with a 27.7 average on 39 returns.
