Sorry Woody. It apparently came off sounding like I meant you were being 
selective or purposely picking numbers to make a point. That's not what I meant 
at all. All I meant is that anytime anyone puts together statistics for any 
reason, the choices they make influence the story that ends up being told. 
There is no such thing as 'numbers don't lie' (other than in the trivial 
literal sense) because numbers tell no story at all without context and 
interpretation. Your numbers are factual, but that doesn't mean we must all 
agree with your interpretation that our team is trending upward. Choose a 
different range of values (say, 1990 - 2013, or the last three games, as I did, 
or compare the first three years of the last four coaches) and the trend will 
look different.
