It’s Tallahassee---they make the rules here!!! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ a recent article on the topic… For those of you wondering if you could still buy alcohol at upcoming Civic Center events and FSU basketball games this year, the answer is yes, nothing has changed. Despite the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center changing ownership to FSU this past year, it will be business as usual when concert goers and basketball fans visit the concession stands at the redesigned arena this upcoming year. When the Civic Center changed ownership to FSU, the big question that popped in my head was “what about the beer?” We all know you can’t buy beer at FSU’s Doak Campbell Stadium, but ask anyone who has season tickets or goes to FSU basketball games, and one of the things they liked most about the Civic Center is that you can buy a beer and watch the game. I don’t know all the details about how Leon County and FSU are getting around this issue, maybe after I write this article other more informed readers can clue us in. The fact is many things are changing at the Civic Center for the better, but thankfully, the most important thing isn’t changing…beer sales.
