Hate to see this. This guy was the first from my area to go to UF in a
long time. Usually the guys who are good enough in Indian River, St.
Lucie and Martin county seem to be a lock for F$U.

Florida sophomore defensive lineman Jay-nard Bostwick has been granted
his release and is free to transfer to another school.
Florida confirmed Friday that Bostwick was granted his release by new
UF football coach Jim McElwain. The 6-foot-3, 290-pound defensive
tackle out of Centennial High in Port St. Lucie was a member of UF’s
2013 signing class.
Bostwick sat out UF’s spring season while dealing with “personal
issues,” according to McElwain. He appeared in five games for the
Gators in 2014, recording three tackles and no sacks.
Bostwick is the sixth player to leave the UF program since McElwain
took over as coach in December, a list that includes quarterbacks Jeff
Driskel and Skyler Mornhinweg, cornerback J.C. Jackson, defensive
lineman Gerald Willis and tight end Daniel Imatorbhebhe. Driskel
transferred to Louisiana Tech, while Mornhinweg transferred to
Columbia. Jackson, meanwhile, is facing felony armed robbery charges
and opted to leave after being told last spring he wouldn’t remain on
scholarship.
