I am not sure I agree with having him return punts or kickoffs.  He is just too 
valuable to get hurt on Special teams.

Hargreaves on the return

All-American cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III is one of those players the 
Gators can’t afford to lose to injury in 2015. But that isn’t going to keep him 
off special teams as a possible return man, McElwain said.

“No, I think that’s just a highlight and one of his skills,” McElwain said. 
“That’s one of the things we worked on a little bit in the spring in both 
areas. Your ability to be an explosive playmaker in whatever way it is to help 
the team be successful (is important).

“I tell them, ‘You’re a starter on special teams first before you’re ever a 
starter on offense or defense.’ When you talk to those guys who were great NFL 
vets, they all play special teams, every one of them.

“This is just another way for him to increase his brand and to help him (as a 
player).”
