I get the dissonance between their preseason expectations and reality, but I think this was a short-sighted decision. With so many other schools looking, the competition for coaches is going to be fierce. I see them as having a 50-50 chance of ending up like Tennessee after they fired Fulmer. Richt is a good enough coach that it will be easier to take a step down than a step up.
