Fighting back

Here's a story I heard yesterday about how to deal with blackmailers.
The blackmailer in question was Ali/Shahzad, the tall, fair hunk who
hangs around the walls and Bandra and Andheri station. He's the guy
who Dominique had a bad experience some months back, about which he
posted on this list, and is the same guy who blackmailed a lawyer in
South Bombay for over a lakh.

This encounter happened with a young guy who had a car. He saw Ali on
the walls, eye contact happened, all proceeding very nicely and Ali
got into the car and they drove to the Athena lane (after Radio Club
and before Voods) where they started feeling each other up. Then
suddenly Ali started shouting and creating a scene and demanding huge
amounts of money.

The guy in the car said he didn't have that much money, so Ali said,
OK, give me your cellphone. The guy in the car, who knew about guys
like Ali from other gay friends of his, thought fast and told Ali,
no, I'll give you the money, lets drive to my ATM. Ali agreed and the
guy started to drive down Colaba Causeway. But he didn't go to the
ATM. He stopped his car in front of Colaba Police Station and told
Ali, "Abhi bol gandu. Lets see you try and create a scene here."

Ali just got out of the car and walked away.

2 other incidents
Hi,

FYI...There have been many guys caught at the Kanjur Marg police station and
sometimes there are real cops too..

I have been witness to one incident years ago. This was the time when I just
discovering my sexuality and could never muster the courage to approach anyone (I
guess that saved me).

I was in the loo and two guys were playing around...out of nowhere a burly man
walked in..asked them to buckle up and dragged them out like dogs in full view
of the passengers on the station...

I did follow them and they were indeed taken to the station master's office.

Police or impostors...PUBLIC LOOS ARE A BIG DANGER!!!..Guys there is too much at
stake....If possible just avoid these places...Gay parties is a much better
option for encounters, I swear...

Hi Huys

I would like to share an episode, which has happened to my friend Rajeev
Deshpande (RD from now onwards)

RD stays at Thane and works at Vikhroli. On 6th September 2004, while returning
home, he got down at Kanjur Marg (KM) to pay a visit to his friend at his
residence at KM. After spending few hours with his friend he came back to KM to
take a train to Thane. It was about 9.00 PM. Being there at KM he wanted to try
his luck at KM loo.

He went to the loo on the platform and stood there for a
while. Nothing was happening inside and most of the time he was alone there.
Later, he noticed a fat guy came inside the loo, stood besides him for a while
and left. After few minutes once again, the same guy came, stood besides him and was
eyeing him. Later, the guy left the place and while going out he pocked RD gently with
his finger on his bum. Later, RD came out of the loo and noticed the fat guy standing
close to the loo.

RD ignored him and walked ahead. The fat guy followed him and caught him by his
sleeves and told him to stop. He old him he was a cop and told him to walk along with
him without making noise (Chup Chap chalo). He was holding tightly the arm of RD).He
took him over the railway bridge and started giving him sermons.

TUM JO KARTHA HAI, ACHA HAI KYA?

EHNE TIME SE MUTRI MAIN KAY KAR RAHE THE?

TUM LOGON KO MAIN ACHI TARAH SE JAN THA HUN.

SEEDE POLICE STATION LEKE JAUNGA.HUM LOG UDHAR BATH KJARANGE Etc Etc.

TUMKO Rs. 10000/- BHARNA PADEGA.

After beating around the bush, he finally came to the topic of his interest. He
started asking about money..Kithna paisa hai tere pas? RD had only Rs.400 with
him. The cop asked him whether he was having ATM card. (ATM Card nahin hai kya?)

RD said he did not have one. The impostor (so-called Cop) demanded for all the
money he had. RD was prepared to pay and run from there? While this talk was
going on RD and the so-called cop walked down to the platform from the bridge as the
platform became empty and the bridge got crowded. (The bridge at KM is very narrow and
it gets very crowded on arrival of trains at the platform).

They continued to talk and RD was taking the purse out from his pocket to give
the money to the guy. At that point of time a train to Thane arrived. RD was
thinking fast and looking for a chance to escape from there. The train was about
to leave. RD mustered some courage and strength and ran; boarded the train. This
swift move of RD took the impostor by surprise and he was too dumbed to react.
RD mingled in the crowd and did not look back.

Take care
