Just a quick note to my earlier email, I am not against sex nor am a
fundamentalist. I am not one of those who believe sex is dirty but i believe that GOD
never takes/advocates sensual pleasure. Associating anything materialistic(sex or
sexuality or anything) with GOD and trying to fit him in that sphere would just show
our immaturity.(He is unaffected/affected by materialistic things like SEX,WEALTH
)..etc. I have taken references from BHAGVAD GITA,since i guess lot of Hindu gods are
being contemplated on.
In GITA, Lord Krishna says that he is unaffected by materialistic framework,he has
created it for human beings to realize the futility of that in a due course of time
and reach him.
And Lord krishna says that it out of human intellect to understand him logically,only
thro' loving service to GOD we can reach him.Even great saints with thousands years of
penance and vedic knowledge failed to understand GOD
There was some discussion of Hijras worshipping Lord Skanda, are not hijras human
beings? They are lovingly worshipping god to forget about their pains and miseries.
Lord krishna says there are two ways to realize GOD
-One by devotion service( the way you want and whichever god u want) with a submissive
mind.Even if we are in materialistic life (mating,eating,sleeping .etc) we are advised
to remember lords name lovingly so that we are free from our karmic reactions thereon.
-Other one by vedic practices and analysis with an analytical approach.
PLEASE BE NOTED THAT THIS IS CLEARLY STATED.
But he says that latter may not succeed at all , only the former method is assured of
success.So when Lord himself has clearly stated this, Should we be foolish enough to
associate materialistic things to him (i.e, basically analyse him) or should we love
him unconditionally??.Hence Let us not analyze him,which is in the first place not at
all the way to love him.We are not even qualified probably to comment on GOD because
we still do not have the basic knowledge of GOD.
It is already a matter of wonderment that we have so many Gods/goddessess now with
some gods moving to the gay list, It would be even ridiculous for most i guess.
Somebody had written about Lord Skanda having multiple women partners, but please be
noted that any sexual activity that happened in case of Gods, is on transcedental
Plane and with a definite Purpose/message.It is definetely not for sense gratification.
Please be noted that these mails are read by lot of western gay fraternity abroad who
might not have full exposure to our religion/Gods hence it is very important that we
give them PROPER projection of our religion/God, atleast as responsible
INDIANS.Decision is left to you guys.
But i know mine clearly and it is the FORMER. Even if you choose the Latter finally
without Love you cannot reach god.
