I was reading few mails on above subject. There were so many mails with different perspective, and we even tried to trace the history to find out the good or bad.
I have a bit philosophical or spritial approach on life and other issues. First is nothing in this world that has been created by the god is bad. Yeah, its the creation by man that might be bad or we as human beings might have labelled it as good or bad.
God created man and woman, it a wonderful creation and obviously the best. God created love, and yeah no love in this world is bad, whatever, man to woman, man to man, man to animal or man to god. Then we have a sex, and sex is one form of expressing the luv. If luv is not bad, sex for luv is also not bad.
God as such is supreme and can have any form, female, male or both. I am very proud to be born in Hindu religion and we are so open minded that we even have gods in both the forms - male and female. Ardhanareshwar is an embodiment of both shiva and parvati, half body is female and another half is male. When our gods dont have any descrimanations on sex or sex habits why we as human beings should do that ? Why we need to label oursleves as gay or lesbian or bi or anything like that. Our Indian society is so tolerant, and different, that we need not inherit these intolerances from western culture. These differentiations are the product of western culture and we have once again allowed ourselves to be carried away by it.
There have been instances in our history wherein therein a very close relationship existed between human beings and gods. Arjun was so close to god Krishna, and yes they referred each other as sakha, and were very closely emotionaly bonded. No-where in our history anybody labelled there relationship as gay or bi and nor we know how deep it was. There is nothing wrong if you fall in luv with god too, and there are instances wherein humanbeings have finally submerged into god to be part of gods physical existence. As rightly pointed out by Mr. Ashok Row Kavi, male prostitution existed in India or across the world since ancient times and was not regarded bad.
Finally guys, I ll say it is all about love. People fall in love and wanna offer and give everything to their lovers. You may fally in love with god and offer yourself to attain moksha, or your partner (male/female does not matter). Expressing your love thro physical sex is not bad, and our holy books and temples have been scripted with the verses, painting or sculptures of gods with all kind of sexual positions.
So guys dunt take too much tension, and think too much over it. Just live your life the way you want, unless you are hurting others.
