Being Lesbian or transgendered has nothing to do with politics...it comes from one's internal realization of oneself...not from government bureaucrats or political parties...yet the public loves to understand the world as a simple mechanism that reflects their beliefs...be they right or wrong...so people who feel they are conservative and are uncomfortable with homosexuality...identify homosexuals as being liberals...and visa-versa.. However in real life the premise just does not ring true...especially when you look around you and see what makes your friends' souls tick.. Yes, a lesbian of Wyoming descent...could very easily reflect the self-propelled conservative instincts of Cowgirls like Annie Oakley and Cattle Kate...I would be shocked to think that she would feel as a 'lesbian' that the road to fulfillment was government handouts or just accepting a bad lot in life..
