Over in England they have an elite group of fighting
men. So tough is this special corps that only twenty
men are picked. It is rougher than the Green Beret,
Red Beret and the Marines put together. This group of
men are so tough that nothing seems to faze them. One
day they were called for an assignment of such a
hazardous nature that the Captain decided that he
would ask for volunteers. The twenty men hurried out
and formed two rows as the Captain came out with his
swagger stick. He walked up to the first man, paused
briefly, then stuck the man in the face with the
swagger stick. A large welt erupted on his face. Blood
trickled down. The man didn't even blink. " Did that
Hurt?!" He shouted at the man. " No sir!" replied the
burly recruit. " Why Not?" The Captain screamed. "
Because I'm an English Soldier sir!" With that reply
the Captain grinned slightly and said, "Good man."
Then he proceeded to the next man in line. He stopped
abruptly and hit him very hard in the stomach. The man
made no sound but stared straight ahead as though
nothing had happened. " Did that hurt?!" Yelled the
Captain. " No sir!" replied the second man. " Why
not?" bellowed the Captain. " Because I'm an English
soldier sir!" The Captain looked pleased with the
response and said, " Good man." He was going to stop
at the next man but something caught his attention.
The last man in the front row had a large bulge in the
front of his pants. The Captain walked up to the man
and brought the swagger stick down as hard as he could
across the bulge. The man didn't move, didn't blink,
didn't gasp or make any indication that he had felt
anything at all. The Captain couldn't believe this. He
thought,, "this has to be the toughest man in the
corp." He looked him in the eye and asked, " Did that
hurt??" The man merely replied, "No sir!" " Why not?"
asked the Captain. "Because it belongs to the guy
behind me sir!!"
