To all contributors, readers, observers, the moderator and gays all over India - a very happy diwali from us in Sydney.
A group of us gay Indians (and friends) are gathered on my balcony in Sydney, celebrating the festival, and enjoying the personal freedom of being gay, out, proud, loving and self respecting.
May the new year bring a change in Indian law, a greater sense of personal freedom, and wonderful new opportunities for us all.
And to my muslim brothers - including my beloved, beautiful boyfriend, love and peace.
I have met many people on this web site during the last year, read many new thoughts, and learnt to appreciate the culture of the newly emerging gay identity of the subcontinent. Don't make the same mistakes we made in the west.
