I've been looking into this issue for quite some time. I have a vested interested in a Mac client myself. Since I run Mac OS X exclusively now I think we may be closer, since IPSec code from FreeBSD was included in the Darwin kernel build tree, (although it was #ifdef'd out). As for Mac Classic OS the PGP VPN was very close but had some issues.
Currently I use SSH. Because we are a Unix shop, SSH works for me. I tunnel any services I need (POP3, SMTP, etc.). I know that SSH most likely isn't a solution for you (unless you've got a Unix/Mac OS X system behind the firewall). I don't know of any other firewalls that have a Mac IPSec client. It has been a while but I do recall using the GNAT Box VPN client running under Virtual PC.
