I think you have some kind of hardware conflict. 1. Make sure you don't have any cards that are not used by the GNAT Box install in your system. Like sound cards, scsi controllers, etc.
In your CMOS setup 1. Turn off any IDE controllers. 2. Turn off the serial ports (if you're not using PPP) 3. Disable any power saving 4. Turn off any builtin sound support What other network cards are you using? What kind of motherboard/CPU?
